Memorial Day Weekend is a time to honor and remember those who have served our country. In today’s glimpse into the past, we see a group of Fort Loudoun Primary Students pictured with the sash used to carry the mortally wounded General Braddock off the field. This picture is from the 1925 school catalog, and the girls are standing in front of George Washington’s Office Museum. The students who were able to be identified ( Left to Right) Grace Cover, Colleen Glass, unknown, Mary Greenway Russell, Virginia Boyd, and Judy McGuire.
